2 Days Tarangire National Park & Ngorongoro Crater Safari

2 Days/1 Night Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater Safari starting in Arusha is a game watching safari within Tarangire National Park and in the internationally famed Ngorongoro Crater. Drive for two hours to Tarangire National Park, which referred to as ‘The Elephant Park’. The park’s terrain comprises of seasonal swamps plus an apparently never-ending savanna with large Baobab trees.

The best time to visit this park is during the dry season which begins in July up to October and this is. During this time other water sources have dried up and river Tarangire is the sole permanent source of water so the wildlife tends to gather around this river.

Among the animals you will commonly see here are numerous buffaloes plus wildebeests along with lions, gazelles, leopards and zebras plus different types of antelopes.

At midday you will have a break and enjoy a picnic lunch. in the afternoon you will enjoy more adventure before finally arriving at your accommodation where you will dine and spend the night.

The next day after your breakfast you will drive to the verdant upland to the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater. Because of its sheer size and fascinating array of wild mammals it is normally regarded as the 8th natural wonder of the world.

The huge caldera is habitat to numerous buffaloes, elephants, hippos, wildebeests and zebras along with a diversity of antelopes including gazelles, and hyenas. Also the chances of seeing the black rhinos, leopards and lions are higher in this crater.

After your lunch in the Crater you will enjoy some more game viewing before returning to Arusha.

Day 1 Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Tarangire park carrying a packed lunch and there you will have a full day game drive. Because it has a permanent source of water, game viewing in this park is nearly guaranteed with large numbers of nearly 3,500 elephants, cheetahs, hyenas, lions plus a leopard if lucky.

In addition this park is habitat to a number of uncommon species such as the Eland, Gerenuk, Oryx plus Kudu. You will have lunch at one of the great picnic areas and as you drive to Lake Manyara where you will have your Dinner and spend the Overnight you will have a game drive along the way.

Day 2 Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Following an early breakfast, you will begin a scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, and there you will descend to the crater floor and enjoy some game viewing. This stunning natural amphitheater is believed to have the biggest number of wild animals in the whole of Africa, with large numbers of lions plus thousands of pink flamingos.

After a nice late picnic-lunch at the hippo picnic site you will have another game drive along the way back to the city of Arusha.
