Day 1: Arusha, Tanzania Arrival

Get rid of the jet lag as you stretch out for a comfy night’s rest within the city of Arusha.

Day 2 Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

 

In the morning, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery as ascend from the lowland terrain to the shores of the very old alkaline Lake Manyara. The wildlife within this small park is abundant and the outstanding bird watching can make a fan out of the most unwilling. Additionally it is among the few places within Africa to view the tree climbing lions that will be today’s quest. You will also be delighted by the large flocks of pink flamingoes.

Days 3 & 4: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

Today your final destination will be the Serengeti National Park. On the way you will visit Olduvai Gorge – the cradle of mankind, in which the Leakey family discovered the fossil of the Homo habilis, who resided here 1.75 million years back. Reaching the lodge prior to lunch, you will discover that you are in the middle of this well-known migration corridor. Having its wide-open expanse, bright-blue skies as well as wildlife filled terrain in the afternoon, you will find out why the fabled Serengeti best illustrates the dream of “Ancient Africa.”

Big prides of lions lie in the very long grass, numerous elephants nourish themselves on acacia bark as they trumpet to one another in the plains, giraffes, elands, gazelles plus monkeys, together with the entire range of wildlife show up in very big numbers. Day 5 Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

Sunrise over the undulating plains is very lovely as viewed from the comfort of your private room veranda. Then you will continue to the next destination – the Ngorongoro Crater, the 8th natural wonder of the world. On the way you go through the huge Ngorongoro Conservation Area – an area developed to provide for the grazing needs of the native Masai people as well as a distinctive test of the concept that people living a pastoral lifestyle can exist together with wildlife. You will arrive in Ngorongoro in the afternoon and check into your lodge found at the edge of the crater where you will have your lunch.

Day 6  Ngorongoro Crater

Today morning you will descend 2,000 ft into the large caldera of the now extinct volcano.This splendid natural amphitheater has the highest number of wild animals across Africa. You will see numerous lions; elephants as well as the uncommon black rhino share this area with the renowned Masai tribesmen. Since the crater has short grasses, the animals can is easily be seen and may even be approached closely. You will spend the morning at the bottom of the crater watching the wildlife in this World Heritage Site.

Day 7  Ngorongoro – Tarangire National Park

You will drive from the Ngorongoro Crater to a stunning reserve renowned for its large number of very old ancient baobab trees, forming one of the most stunning landscapes that you can think of. Tarangire having a permanent water source, will almost guarantee views of large herds of wild animals such as elephants, cheetah, tree-climbing lions, leopards plus hyenas. You will explore the Tarangire for 2 days; this is among the best wildlife habitats in Tanzania

Day 8 Tarangire – Drive Arusha – Depart

Today you will enjoy a final game drive in the morning before flying back to the city of Arusha. Relax, have lunch, do some shopping for souvenirs and in the evening transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
