Tanzania Expedition, 12 days

12 DAYS – GREAT NORTHERN CIRCUIT SAFARI TANZANIA 

Day 1 – Arusha 

On arrival at the airport in Arusha you will be received by our delegate transfer you to the East African Hotel or any similar. Dine and slumber at the hotel

Day 2 – Lake Manyara

Today you will journey across the Great Rift Valley’s floor to Lake Manyara National Park where you will have a game drive. This stunning park has a variety of wild animals among which are Elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, the tree climbing lions, monkeys and numerous antelope species. Dine and slumber at Maramboi Tented Camp.

Day 3 – Lake Manyara  – Lake Natron

After breakfast, continue to Lake Natron, goins past the active Oldonyo Lengai volcano. Lake Natron is well known for its resident thousands of flamingoes. Dine and slumber at Lake Natron Tented Camp,

Day 4 – Lake Natron – Serengeti

Following breakfast dive to Serengeti National Park, traversing the Loliondo Game Reserve. Dine and slumber at Ikoma Bush Camp or any similar.

Day 5 – Serengeti – Lake Victoria

On our way to the stunning Lake Victoria we shall have a Game drive. After lunch, head to the adjacent hills to experience the rural African life, driving past several small villages inhabited by the Sukuma people, who cultivate cassava, cotton, sorghum and groundnuts, as well as rear livestock. Life here is very simple and somewhat primitive, but with some few emotional reminders of the past 20th Century! Visit the local school and walk to the peak of a small ‘kopje’. Dine and slumber at Speke Bay or any similar.

Day 6 – explore Serengeti

After breakfast, have a walking tour, and later  return to the vast Serengeti, for yet another day of game viewing.  Dine and slumber at Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp or any similar

Day 7 – Serengeti

Enjoy Game drives within the Serengeti today. Basing on the time-of- the-year as well as the movement of the migration herds you may see baboons, wildebeests, rhinos, lions, antelopes, elephants, monkeys, giraffes, zebras and hippos, plus various birds. Dine and slumber at Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp or any similar

Day 8 – Serengeti – Ngorongoro

Following breakfast drive to Ngorongoro! Along the way you make a stop at Olduvai Gorge well known for the significant archeological discoveries made by anthropologists Louis plus Mary Leakey discoveries that greatly contributed to the origin of man’s life. Have lunch at the camp, and spend the Afternoon entirely at Leisure or opt to visit Maasai village. Dine and slumber at Kensington Ngorongoro Endoro Lodge or any similar.

Day 9 – explore Ngorongoro

Following breakfast descend to the Ngorongoro crater floor to enjoy  a full day of game viewing. Some of the animals you will see are: antelopes, lions, rhinos, elephants, jackals, zebras and  hippos, plus a profusion of bird species among which are flamingos. Dine and slumber at Kensington Ngorongoro Endoro Lodge or any similar.

 

Day 10 – Ngorongoro – Tarangire

On having breakfast, leave for Tarangire National Park where you will have lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in the third biggest national park in Tanzania, home to a very outstanding large population of elephants. In addition to the tree climbing lions, other animals you will see are:  leopard, cheetah, and herds of up to 600 elephants. Dine and slumber at Tarangire River Camp or any similar.

Day 11 – Tarangire – Arusha

Have a game drive very early in the morning, and later return for Breakfast at the lodge. You will then drive back to Arusha where you will have lunch at a lodge within Arusha National Park. Enjoy a game drive in the afternoon within the park. Dine and slumber at Hatari Lodge or any similar.

Day 12 – Departure

After Breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight
